The chairman, Abak Local Government Area, Barrister Imoh Williams has visited flood affected areas in Abak Local Government Area with an assurance of swift response by the Government to curb the menace.
Represented by the Supervisor for Works, Etopima Ekpo, the Chairman on reaching the scene, decried the Ugly Situation that has befallen his people and promised residents of his resolve to channel the report to appropriate Quarters for prompt and adequate measures to be taken.
While noting that the welfare of his people overtime remains his priority, the Chairman also advise resident of the area to refrain from incessant dumping of refuse especially on flood ways as that could object the free flow of water especially during the raining season.
The affected Areas visited by the Chairman Include: Akpan-Eno lane, Ikot Okoro Road and Ikot Ekpene road.
Also in the team that visited the Scene were supervisor for Agriculture and Natural Resources, Emem Westgarth, Chairman House committee on works, Edidiong Uko as well as Benedict Ebong, among others.
