Mr. Tony Afia is the chairman and CEO of Planet Radio 101.1fm, the first indigenous private radio station in the Akwa Cross region of the South South states of Nigera.

Tony Afia is a renowned banker. He has had a distinguished career in the banking sector in the United States.

Prior to starting Planet Radio, which he founded in December 2010, Tony was employed by Walls Fargo, the fourth largest bank in the United States as a Banking officer in charge of corporate loans. He later was sent to train in commercial banking and upon his completion; he was promoted to Assistant Vice President and posted to manage several branches which he did successfully.

Tony received his BBA degree in Finance and banking with concentration in financial institution and a second degree in Economics from the University of North Texas, Denton, Texas USA.

Tony left the bank after 7 years of successful banking career to start up his own business under TAF and Associates Limited both in Nigeria and the United States specializing in Financial Consulting, Road Construction and the Media.

He is happily married with children.
