Coach of Nigeria’s D’Tigers, Mike Brown has named long-serving captain Ike Diogu and point guard Ben Uzoh in his 12-man roster for the 2021 Afrobasket qualifiers, which dunks off in Kigali, Rwanda today.

The Afrobasket qualifiers are billed to hold from November 25 to 29 at the Kigali Arena.

D’Tigers battle South Sudan in their opening Group D campaign on Thursday, before taking on Mali and hosts Rwanda.

The competition is Brown’s first assignment with the Nigerian national team since he was announced as head coach in February, replacing Alex Nwora, who led the team to the 2019 FIBA World Cup in China.
