The Supreme Court has affirmed the election of Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State.
The judgement delivered on Monday by the Apex Court disagreed with the appeal filed on a five grounds count of misconduct during the November election.
Prepared by Justice Inyang Okoro and read by Justice Uwani Abba-Aji the lead judgment concludes that the cases of the appellants failed to prove before the court the allegations made in their petitions.
The panel had in attendance, the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Tanko Muhammad, Justices Olabode Rhodes-Vivour, Sylvester Ngwuta, Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, Inyang Okoro, Amina Augie, and Uwani Abba-Aji.
