Uruan local government chairman, Surveyor Iniobong Ekpeyong, has expressed commitment to partner with Northern Uruan Ward 2 through the provision of reasonable funds for the restoration of the community’s erstwhile health facility that had gone dormant and non-functional for years now.
Speaking at the inspection of the abandoned health facility, the chairman solicited the corporation of members of the community in terms of partnership, to revive the facility for the good of all community members and beyond.
Earlier in his remarks, the CEO Planet FM, Tony Afia, who is an indigene of the affected community, narrated the myriads of challenges community members have had to face due to the non-functional state of the health facility and requested corporation, as regards partnership with the council, to see the health centre revived in the shortest possible time.
Meanwhile, community members who could not hide their nostalgia as regards when the health centre was functional, appreciated the council chairman for showing proactiveness for service and expressed hope that the health facility would be revived for Northern Uruan residents.
