Akwa Ibom State Governor Udom Emmanuel presents 2019 Manifesto

Akwa Ibom State Governor Udom Emmanuel has presented his 2019 Manifesto christened “completion Agenda” with a renewed commitment to surpass the superior performances recorded in his first tenure and position Akwa Ibom as the industrial hub of Nigeria.

This he says will translate into more industries, more infrastructures, more roads networks and better educational facilities as well as sustaining the prevailing peace in the state.

Governor Emmanuel who stated these during the State PDP Campaign Flag off held at the Uyo Township Stadium, noted that having delivered on his five point agenda promised in his first term, the second term will be an opportunity to consolidate on the achievements.

Earlier in his welcome address, the Director General of the Divine mandate campaign Council and former Governor of the state, Otuekong Idongesit Nkanga urged the people of the state to stand firm and support the Udom Emmanuel led administration, as he is the only governor that means well for the people of the state having demonstrated performance in industrialization, health sector and education as well as peace and security, amongst others.

In their goodwill messages, the Governor of Bayelsa State Sierake Dickson, speaker of the state House of Assembly Onofiok Luke and state chairman of the party Obong Paul Ekpo who respectively noted that Akwa Ibom is privileged to have Governor Emmanuel on the saddle of leadership, urged the people not to relent in their support for his re-election to ensure their continuous gains of good governance.

Government House correspondent Jane Uwa reports that high point of the event which also featured goodwill messages from representatives of the three senatorial Districts and the defection of former Speaker of Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Engineer Ignatius Edet and others back into the PDP, was the presentation of flags to all the candidates of the PDP in the state.
