Akwa United has unveiled Coach John Obuh, his assistant, Duke Udi and 15 new players for the 2019/2020 Nigeria Professional Football League season.
Unveiling the players at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, the chairman of the club, Paul Bassey thanked the fans for their continued support, adding that the club was ready to challenge for the league title which informed the reinforcement in the signing of a new coach and new players. On his part, the former Kwara United coach thanked the management of the club for trusting him and promised to maintain his style of play in guiding the Promise Keepers to success in the coming season.
Meanwhile some of the new players which include some returnees like Akarandut Orok, Ifeanyi Ifeanyi, Ubong Friday and others like Dare Ojo, Christian Ekong among others said they were ready for the challenge of the new season.
The new season starts on Sunday November 3 with the Uyo team away to Delta State.
