AKSG approves religious activities for Good Friday,Easter Sunday.
Akwa Ibom State Government has approved guidelines for religious activities for Good Friday and Easter Sunday.
In a latest statement issued by the Commissioner for Information, Charles Udoh “all religious gatherings must not be more than 20 worshipers irrespective of the size of the church and the service must disperse early as the lockdown order recommences by 1pm on both days.

According to the statement “sitting arrangement during the good Friday and Easter Sunday servives must be Social Distancing compliant. All worshipers must use hand sanitizers at church entrance and wear face masks while in church.”
It added that “infrared thermometers should be used at church entrance doors, while worshiper whose body temperature is above 38 degrees Centigrade be referred to the nearest healthcare facility.
The state government advised worshippers to wash their hands with soap and running water before and after Church Service even as it calls on citizens and residents to cooperate with the State government to minimize the surge of COVID-19 in Akwa Ibom.
Meanwhile the statement added that the lockdown will be in full force on Saturday and Easter Monday until the expiration of the 14 days order.
