Akwa Ibom State Governor Udom Emmanuel has called on parents not to trade the duty of training their children in Godly ways for an assured future.
Governor Emmanuel who gave the charge at the Grace Family Ibom Hall where he attended the dedication of Reverend Patrick Edet’s daughter, Mbiet-Yaweh Patrick Edet, noted that many parents have become negligent of their responsibilities, thereby allowing the children to become lawless and a problem to the society.

While reiterating the need for Children to be respectful to their parents and Elders and desist from using social media platforms to insult People in position of Authority, Government house correspondent Jane Uwa reports that the Governor therefore advised Christians and indeed the generality of people on the need to live in a Godly way, to ensure a better and more progressive society.
MEANWHILE, The Founder and presiding Pastor of Grace Family Commonwealth of Champions, Reverend Patrick Henry Edet while speaking at the occasion noted that he has seen the hands of God in his life for the blessings bestowed upon him and his family.
In a sermon titled ‘Blessed Family’ the
Guest minister, Reverend Joseph Olaiya who drew his text from Psalm chapter 112 verse 1 tasked the congregation not to see their existence on earth as being accidental, urging them to imbibe fear of God and total devotion to the work of God.
Some well-wishers and guests at the occasion who spoke with our correspondent, Anthony Esin expressed delight to witness the dedication of the child while praying for God’s blessings upon her and the family.
