President Muhammadu Buhari says he is leaving a legacy of a free and fair election in the country.

Speaking in Abuja at the launch of the Biography of the mother of Emir of Kano and Emir of Bichi, Maryam Ado Bayero, he maintained that the election that led to the emergence of Bola Tinubu as the President-Elect was free and fair.

Represented by his Chief of Staff, Professor Ibrahim Gambari, he said, the President finished his eight years term in office strong and well, leaving behind many legacies, which include the foundation of a free and fair election that has produced the president-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. It has also produced a legacy of achievements in the area of diversification of the economy and reforms of the petroleum industry and infrastructure.

He also mentioned him commissioning of the second Niger Bridge, major parts of the Kano-Abuja expressway as well as several roads and bridges.
