Presidential taskforce on COVID-19 announces lifting of ban on interstate travels from 1st July, extends 2nd phase of eased lockdown by 4weeks
The presidential taskforce on COVID-19 has announced the lifting of ban on interstate travels from 1st July 2020.
The National Coordinator of the PTF, Sani Aliyu announced this as the presidential taskforce extended recommendations of the phase 11 by 4weeks.
Aliyu further elaborated on expectations as regards approval of interstate travels, while expressing optimism for a seamless coordination of the new guidelines. He noted that the curfew from 10pm to 4am however remains, while aviation activities will resume, though passe
In the meantime the chairman of the taskforce and secretary to the government of the federation Boss Mustapha,ngers will be expected to be at the airport three hours early.
The Personal Assistant on New Media to the President Bashir Ahmed on his official twitter handle stated that Schools are however to remain closed except for few exemptions, just as funerals are approved, to include not more than twenty persons, majorly comprising family members of the deceased.
