IN POLITICS, The Peoples Democratic Party- PDP has released the timetable and schedule of activities for the February 3, 2024 bye-elections.
Reports have it that the Independent National Electoral Commission approved a timetable for conducting bye-elections resulting from the resignation or demise of members of the National and State Houses of Assembly.
The PDP timetable signed by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Umar Bature, revealed that notice of primary election and congresses to the state chapter will begin tomorrow, Wednesday, December 27, 2023.
The sale of nominations, expressions of interest, and delegate forms will begin on Thursday, December 28, 2023, and end on Wednesday, January 3, 2024. Also, the primary election is slated for Monday, January 8, 2024, and appeals on the party primary are scheduled to be held on Tuesday, January 9, 2024.
Meanwhile, the party pegs the price for the Expression of Interest and Nomination forms for the Senate, House of Representatives, and House of Assembly at 3.5 million, 2.5 million,and 600,000 thousand naira.
