Chelle Calls for Eagles’ Resilience as Qualification Dream Wavers

Super Eagles head coach, Chelle, has expressed confidence that his players will fight until the very end of their faltering World Cup qualifying campaign.

Speaking after Nigeria’s 1–1 draw with South Africa in Bloemfontein, which left the team six points adrift of the group leaders with just two matches remaining, Chelle insisted the Eagles still have a chance.

“My players are professionals and I know they will still want to win the remaining two games,” the Malian coach said. “A lot can happen over the next one month. But before that, we will have to analyse our performance tonight, which will not be easy.”

Despite the mounting pressure and dwindling odds, Chelle maintained a defiant stance, urging calm and focus as the team prepares for their decisive fixtures against Lesotho and Benin Republic.
