Akwa Ibom State Head of Service Commends Governor Umo Eno’s Progress on Paying Back Log of Money Owed to Retirees in the State

Akwa Ibom state head of service, Elder Effiong Essien has commended Governor Umo Eno’s Progress on paying backlog of money owed to retirees in the state.

Speaking during a flagship program, Rise and Shine on Spectrum TV, Elder Effiong Essien said that Umo Eno started his administration with a different template of governance far from his predecessors, which according to him has helped reach the most vulnerable members of the community. He attributed the effort of the governor’s leadership to why there are no issues from the labour agitation in the state and has also made his work easier.

When asked to expatiate on the difference between pension harmonization and pension regularization, Essien educated the public on the differences, noting that it happens periodically due to increase in salary. He however commended the state governor for remembering the retirees and paying them what was owed.
