President Bola Tinubu Currently Addressing the Nation on Occasion of Democracy Day

President Bola Tinubu is currently addressing the nation on the occasion of Democracy Day. The president has urged Nigerians to reaffirm their dedication to the principles of inclusivity, accountability, and transparency to ensure a robust and enduring democracy for future generations.
The President, as stated by the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Communications in the Office of the Vice President, Stanley Nkwocha, addressed the audience during the 2024 Democracy Day Lecture at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Tinubu, represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, emphasized that at this stage of the country’s democratic progress, every Nigerian, regardless of their background, should be afforded the opportunity to contribute to the nation’s collective future.
President Bola Tinubu has also strongly condemned the recent killings of citizens in Dutsin-Ma and Kankara Local Government Areas of Katsina State.
Recall that the state Police Command, in a statement, confirmed the killing of about 20 persons, including four police officers and two operatives of the state-owned Community Watch Corps, by suspected bandits.
The statement issued by the Public Relations Officer of the Command, ASP Abubakar Sadiq-Aliyu, said the attacks occurred on Sunday at Gidan Tofa and Dan Nakwabo villages in the Kankara Local Government Area of the state.
In response to the attack, Tinubu, in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, described the latest attacks as grisly and sinister. The President promised that his administration would do more to secure citizens and completely degrade terrorists and other harbingers of death and sorrow in any part of the country.
