Manchester City Defeats Newcastle 5–1 on Aggregate to Book Carabao Cup Final Clash with Arsenal

Manchester City sealed a dominant 5–1 aggregate win over Newcastle United to reach the Carabao Cup final, ending the holders’ defence in emphatic fashion. Carrying a 2–0 lead into the second leg, City took control early at the Etihad Stadium and never looked back.

Omar Marmoush struck in the sixth minute and added a second before half-time, with Tijjani Reijnders also on target to put the tie beyond Newcastle’s reach. The visitors had chances but failed to capitalise, while City punished every mistake.

Anthony Elanga scored a consolation goal for Newcastle in the second half, but the result was already settled. Pep Guardiola’s side will now face Premier League leaders Arsenal in the final at Wembley on 22 March.
