Akwa Ibom state Governor Udom Emmanuel has appreciated workers in the state for their collaboration and support to his administration over the years while reiterating his commitment to a better welfare and working conditions for the workers.
Speaking during the May Day celebration, Addressing the workers, Governor Emmanuel, who attended the International Workers’ Day for the last time as a governor, appealed to them to extend the support to the incoming administration in the state.
Responding to some of the issues raised by labour leaders especially those affecting local government workers and primary school teachers, the governor who enumerated most of the major interventions his government has done to ensure a better welfare for the workers, again assured that some of their prayers would be met before the end of his administration.
