 The chairman of the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB), Professor Mohammed Isah, has cautioned elected officials against filing false information in their asset declaration forms.

He warned that violators would be prosecuted and, if found guilty, jailed. Isah made this known while presenting Form CCB1 to some recently elected officials at the Royal Suite Institute in Suleja. He warned that violators would be prosecuted and, if found guilty, jailed.

Isah made this known while presenting Form CCB1 to some recently elected officials at the Royal Suite Institute in Suleja. The chairman, who spoke through the federal commissioner of North Central, Professor Juwayiwa Badamosuiyi, advised the incoming elected officials not to default in filling out the assets declaration Form CCB1, as they will be liable for sanction.

The federal commissioner then appreciated the efforts of the clerk of the state House of Assembly for ensuring that members complied with filling out Form CCB1. Also, the Director in charge of the Niger State Office of CCB, Deborah Charles, in her charge to both incoming and outgoing members, declared that failure to declare assets is liable to removal from office or prosecution.
