Governor Umo Eno Flags Off APC Membership Revalidation in Akwa Ibom

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has officially commenced the membership revalidation and registration exercise of the Akwa Ibom State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), validating his membership at Ibiakpan Obotim Ward II in Nsit Ubium Local Government Area.

The Governor, who was issued the registration number 001 in the party register, called on all party faithful and prospective members to participate actively by registering at their respective ward centres.

Speaking on the significance of the exercise, Governor Eno noted that the revalidation process will span one month, after which the register will be temporarily closed. He emphasised that the outcome of the exercise would produce a new membership register, which will serve as the party’s authentic and official working document in the state.

In an interview with Government House Correspondents shortly after his registration, the Governor expressed satisfaction with the smooth conduct of the process. He urged members to remain orderly and patient throughout the exercise.

Governor Eno further encouraged citizens to embrace unity, peace, and love, stressing that a united people are more likely to achieve progress and development.

Government House Correspondent, Jane Uwa, reports that the Governor reiterated his commitment to inclusive governance and urged all party stakeholders to contribute meaningfully to the growth of the APC and the unity of Akwa Ibom State.
