The Interim Management Committee-IMC has announced that the Nigeria Professional Football League-NPFL Super 6 tourney will be held from June 3 to 11 2023 in Lagos state.
This was made known by the IMC in a statement yesterday. With each of the six teams playing each other, a total of 15 games will be played in five days, with free days in between the match days.
According to the Head, Operations, of IMC, Davidson Owumi, the review of the schedule was agreed with the Nigeria Football Federation to accommodate the league and the Federation Cup.
The IMC added that the format would declare as champions the club with the highest points at the completion of the matches, noting that teams are expected to arrive in Lagos June 1st 2023, while match officials will arrive the following day.
The regular season of the NPFL, which is abridged into two groups, will be concluded May 21, with the three top teams in each group qualifying for the play-off.
