The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has urged Nigerians not to accept food items not packed by them when travelling, as the agency intercepted narcotics concealed in packs of semovita and dry pepper.
This was contained in a statement by the agency’s spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, released on his X account, formerly known as Twitter.
The agency said the narcotics were being shipped by members of Transnational Drug Trafficking Organisations, some of whom were promptly arrested, their mansions raided and their luxury vehicles seized.
