Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara Defects To APC, while Governor Ademola Adeleke officially joins Accord Party

Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

He announced this at a stakeholders meeting at the government house in Port Harcourt.

Fubara said he decided to leave the PDP to support President Bola Tinubu of the APC, saying that he would have become a former governor without Tinubu’s support.

Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has announced that he has joined the Accord Party as a new platform to seek re-election in August next year.

Adeleke made the announcement in a post on his verified X handle, just a few days after resigning from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Governor Adeleke noted that he opted for the Accord Party because its mission of welfarism aligns with his passionate focus on citizens and workers’ welfare.
