Egypt’s U-17 female volleyball team have defeated their hosts Nigeria 3-1 in the final match, to win the 2023 Girl’s U-17 African Nations Volleyball championship.
The match took place at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja.
Reports say the Egyptians demonstrated their dominance in the championship, as they won the opening set 25-21, while Nigeria won the second set 25-20, rallying to win the third set 25-22 and the fourth set 25-21.
This is a new division added to the continental tournament by the Conference of African Volleyball (CAVB).
